Auscong was formed in December of 2003 by Ice Cannon, Fate and WildCat - all members of the *AUS* VietCong Division. The trio set out with the ambition of creating a meca for VietCong right here in Australia. Auscong was to be the first Australian VietCong Fansite, and offered an extensive download section, community events and a place for the Australian VietCong community to gather.
Today, Auscong has expanded dramatically. Ice Cannon and WildCat have moved on, and Fate and Punk now run the day to day works of Auscong. We have our own server, provided by our major sponsor OGN, and have also forged a strong relationship with our tournament sponsor, CW Supplies.
The second revision of the website, Auscong Version 2, has now also been released, with new and improved features. This site has been developed to facilitate what we all hope will be a massive boost to the VietCong community, VietCong2.
Auscong looks forward to the future with VietCong2, hoping that our strong relationship with the developers of VietCong, Pterodon, will put us in a good position to continue serving not only the Australian VietCong community, but the international community at the top level Auscong has become known for.
