There has been a lot of information regarding VC2 that has been released recently. The majority of which has already been reported here on Auscong, but there have been a few reports that we have missed. This article aims to sum up the majority of news releases regarding VC2 in the last couple of weeks.

With the announcement that VC2 has now gone gold, Jarek Kolar has had time to revist the Pterodon forums, and answer some member questions. The following are some of the more interesting things he has had to say.

Q: What changes have been made from the demo to the full release.

well, there is "million" of tiny enhancements that I am not able to describe. Basically we have put a lot of your suggestions to the game, some of the proposed changes are not possible to include.
That's why we have created new demo. so you can check it on your own.
Unfortunately I cannot confirm that t2 will release this (already prepared) demo. Let's hope it will be released before the game ships.

A note on the SP Campaigns of VC2:

us campaign is small and vc campaign is a smaller bonus
we aimed for intensity

jungle - no jungle in US campaign, only jungle and nature in VC campaign

A note on the differences between country versions:

US version is equal to the EU one, the language is definitely mature, there is some proper blood, we have dropped the flying limbs

Q: Will VC2 have linux support for servers?

linux - no

In response to claims that linux is nessacary due to the extra costs of windows based servers:

I know, I have said these arguments to t2 as well...
